Thank you for stopping by!  I am so excited that after two years of product development and planning we are finally launching By The Way, Your Hair Looks Fabulous!™ 

I'd like to tell you a little bit about the products and why we decided to make them. As I have written about extensively, premature graying runs in my family, and I started to go gray in my early 20's. After ten years of coloring, I decided to let my natural hair color grow because I had become allergic to some components in many hair dyes.  It was also time-consuming and expensive to constantly touch up my color, and I decided to "just let go" and make the best of going gray. Along the way I started writing about it on my blog, How Bourgeois.  

Millions of page-views and thousands of shared stories later, my husband Jon and I realized that there were many, many "silver sisters" who share my experience - women who want to grow out their natural hair, are interested in products that are more naturally-derived, and who want to look amazing without spending a fortune. 

Jon has worked in consumer product development for many years, and together we have created By The Way, Your Hair Looks Fabulous™ - a brand and a product line that strives to be more natural and more affordable.

There are many, many haircare products on the market - I have tested and written about a lot of them.  Here are some of the things that we did to set ours apart: 

- Every product in our line is informed by my many years of experience in growing out and styling my gray hair.  My well-known "tips and tricks for gray hair" are reflected in these products.

- Because many of my readers have ingredient sensitivities like my own, we care a lot about making our  products more natural - every single product in our line is Free From: Phthalates, Sulfates, Parabens, Silicones and Synthetic Fillers.

- We care about our ingredients and how they are made- we manufacture a cruelty-free product line, and we are Leaping Bunny Certified. 

- We think that where the products come from matters - all of our products are Made in Canada and distributed from our Michigan location. 

There is something else that I want to really emphasize!!  While I created this line for my fellow "silver sisters," 6 of our 8 products can be used by anyone - our daily shampoo and conditioner, clarifying shampoo, hair serum, styling cream and of course our "Life Changing leave-In" can be used by people with any hair type or color.
